Madreselva at Tango BA Festival & World Championship 2025 — Official Sponsor

Madreselva Official Sponsor of Tango BA Festival and World Championship 2025

Buenos Aires does not celebrate tango: it breathes it. And once a year, that breath becomes the Tango BA Festival and World Championship. Streets, milongas, stages and late nights connect in a week that brings together the global tango community.

This year, as every year since the very beginning, Madreselva was honored to be Official Sponsor of the Tango BA Festival and World Championship, dressing the feet of some of the most talked-about performances among audience and critics.

A sponsor who also dances

Behind Madreselva there is a dancer: Viviana Laguzzi. That is why being Sponsor of the Festival and World Championship is not a commercial gesture for us. It is a homecoming. Every pair that stepped onto the stage — both in Salon and Stage categories — was designed by someone who knows what it feels like when the music begins and the body has to say everything without speaking.

The models most worn on stage

These four models were the most chosen by dancers in Festival performances. Designs handmade in our atelier at Av. Rivadavia 2031, built to hold every turn without losing elegance.

“When a dancer steps on stage wearing Madreselva, the brand dances too.”

Behind the scenes

The weeks before the festival were, inside the atelier, a choreography of their own. Fittings, fine adjustments on the last, anatomical insoles reformulated for each dancer’s step. Each pair left the Showroom with a final polish and a short breath before going on stage. That is the part nobody sees, and it is where the brand truly lives.

Madreselva × Mimi Pinzón · The complete tango look

Madreselva did not walk through the Festival alone. Mimi Pinzón, also Official Sponsor of the Tango BA Festival and World Championship, dressed the same dancers who wore Madreselva. Two sister houses led by Viviana Laguzzi: one born to support every step, the other to crown every silhouette. Together they form the complete Argentine tango look.

What the festival left behind

A confirmation: tango is no longer a local niche, it is an international language. Dancers from USA, Italy, France, Germany, Japan and Korea danced in Buenos Aires wearing Madreselva shoes, and took more pairs home to their cities. The festival was, beyond the cultural tribute, a silent conversation about how Buenos Aires keeps exporting identity.
